OUR INSTRUCTORS:
Bob Babecka:
I am a home school father. I have taught or supervised my 6 children in all of the grades in an eclectic program put together by my late wife and myself. My oldest child is about to graduate from Holy Apostles College and Seminary and the next two are currently attending Kennesaw State University. Currently, each student is maintaining at or close to a 4.0 average. I have tutored my children and others in physics and math (through calculus 1).
I have a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and have worked for over 35 years as a nuclear engineer and in related positions. Over 50 credits of my college courses (excluding math courses) were in physics and the companies employing me sent me to over two years of additional classes, much of which dealt with topics in physics. I also have a strong background in teaching in different settings, having worked as an instructor of U.S. Navy personnel at a prototype reactor and of nuclear operations supervisors and managers in the commercial nuclear power industry. I am currently one of the main catechists for RCIA in my parish. (I believe everything that the Catholic Church teaches.)
Jennifer (Summers) Broussard:
I am a homeschooling veteran of 20 years. I have taught all of the core subjects and many electives at home, in co-ops, and in the private school setting. Over the years, I have helped many children with special needs including dyslexia, gifted challenges, struggling readers and spellers, reluctant writers, central / auditory / visual processing disorders, reluctant learners, and ADHD/ADD. I am currently a certification candidate in the Wilson Intensive Method of teaching reading, spelling, writing, and comprehending. I love to see children bloom and grow when they begin to understand how the English language works. It has become my passion to reach those suffering from language-based learning disabilities and challenges. The love of learning and reading is essential to a happy, successful life. Intervention and remediation that work are the keys to helping the struggling learner reach his goals and live life successfully and confidently. I also love my faith, my 6 children, 2 grandchildren, traveling, my cat named Cowboy, gardening, drinking tea, long walks and long talks, teaching birth education classes to expectant couples, serving the poor, history, religion, and the psychology of God's greatest creation.
Deacon Jose G. Campos:
My wife Cecilia and I moved to the Atlanta area to be closer to our two sons and their families and to complete my diaconate studies which I did in 2008. I left my native Cuba during my Senior HS year and after several minimum wage jobs in the USA decided to pursue a higher education. Jesus, who I always considered my companion, was then all I had to pursue my goal. After graduating as a Chemical Engineer, I have worked through the USA and several Foreign Countries, including Consulting in 6 Continents. My emphasis is on Customer Focus, Employee Relations and Improvement and I find to be based on Solid Christian fundamental principles. Most of my work has required Statistics which I find to be a very useful tool to internalize the concepts of: Free Will, Randomness, Chaos, Order and Salvation. The pseudo-conflict of Science and Religion has always been intriguing and I continuously explore it; in fact, it caused me to return to the University in 2018, where I took a course on the subject at Emory.
Another subject which takes my attention and concern is Suicide, Anxiety and Depression specially among young people, I maintain a close contact with a Counseling and Crisis Intervention Center and have presented Talks on the Subject after a review and approval by a Psychologist.
Edie Carlson:
Homeschooling has been our way of life since 1997. Six of our seven children have graduated from Mother of Divine Grace School. Four of the oldest have graduated from University of West GA, Thomas Aquinas College, and Belmont Abbey College. Two more are in college, or about to start. I have been a consultant and mentor for Mother of Divine Grace School for the last eighteen years. In this role I advise parents about selecting curriculum, as well as, explain method and course goals. I have also taught several online classes and one on one courses for enrolled Mother of Divine Grace students. Religion and history are my favorite topics. I am a devout Catholic and believe all the truths the Catholic Church teaches. I have tried to share these truths as a grade school and high school catechist at our parish.
Prior to marriage and children, I was a senior designer for an interior design firm in Huntington, NY. I have an Associate Degree in Applied Science from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New Your City.

Eveline Eppers:
I am a homeschooling mother of 4 young girls and have been homeschooling my for the past 3 years. With a business, marketing, and customer services management background; I am a veteran at speaking in front of large audiences and presenting information and arguments to the toughest of critics. I am excited to bring a Public Speaking course to Victory Academy. I look forward to teaching the skills that your children will need to perfect once in the college and working environment. I hope to build confidence in the students and teach them strategies to be the best of communicators in any situation.
Carmen Fasselt:
My name is Carmen Fasselt, and I will be teaching Spanish. For the past six years I have taught elementary, middle, and high school Spanish to my children's home school group. I am originally from Cuba, and I thought teaching Spanish was a great way to share my talents with other homeschoolers. I am really excited to teach at Victory Academy, and am looking forward to meeting my new students.
Maggie Hall:
Maggie Hall is a homeschool mom to three bright children. She has homeschooled for 12 years. She has always been interested in teaching since she was very young and even helped homeschool her younger siblings. When deciding to go to college it was very difficult for her to choose from a Teaching Degree in History or Art Degree. In the end she chose Art and received a degree in Graphic Design and Advertising. Funny, God had other plans! She has taught for the past 10 years in various subjects at different hybrid schools from 4th grade to 9th grade. She has taught MODG History and Literature classes using the classical methodology in the 8th, 9th and 10th grade for 4 years at Victory Academy.
Priya Johnson:
Priya Johnson has a academic background in English with a focus on children’s literature and education. She started homeschooling over 15 years ago and has taught science, history, and literature in a variety of educational environments and levels. This will be her third year teaching at Victory Academy.
Camille Kroll:

My primary occupation is a Physician Assistant in cardiology at Piedmont Hospital. Over the past 5 years, I have been teaching at various Catholic hybrid schools, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, and Mercer University. Jackie Pacheco:
My name is Jackie Pacheco and I will be teaching the Lost Tools of Writing class at Victory Academy this year. This is the fourth time I have had the pleasure of teaching this class. In addition, I have also enjoyed teaching Earth Science Labs, Life Science Labs, Physical Science labs, High School Ancient History class, and High School Medieval History class. Previously, I worked as a Challenge A director for Classical Conversations. However, I greatly missed the ability to share my Catholic faith openly in that setting and to pick and choose which classes my children could take. Therefore, in response to the desire to have a classical program that was a-la-carte but also faithful to the magisterium of the Catholic Church, I was involved in the re-opening of Victory Academy almost 5 years ago with my fellow co-administrators.
In 1995, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Florida International University. My love for children led me to work primarily in the field of pediatrics. I also worked as a certified clinical instructor whereby I had the opportunity to teach university students the clinical aspects of physical therapy out in the field. I am blessed with three lovely children and I have been married to my sweet and supportive husband for 23 years now. We have been a homeschooling family for 8 years and we hope to be a source of encouragement for other families looking for support. I look forward to serving you and your family in anyway I can.

Michele Roman is a homeschooling mother of five. She has 7 years of public school experience teaching art in Cobb County (1st-5th grades) and in Cherokee County (middle school). In 2017, she will celebrate her 22nd anniversary of entering the Catholic Church and 21 years of marriage to her husband Bob.

I have been teaching Geography and Latin to Upper Elementary and Middle School students. I began homeschooling my own children in 1984. Now they are grown, and I have helped with the education of my homeschooled grandchildren, including Latin. I obtained a Masters in Social Studies Education from Georgia State in 2002, and ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement from Kennesaw State in 2003, and certification in Special Education. I have taught Special Education in Middle School, and also Social Studies and ESOL as a long-term substitute teacher. I love teaching, especially Social Studies and anything related to Language Arts, and I am very excited to share my knowledge and interests all of my students.

I have played various rolls in Catholic co-ops, clubs, and service groups, and for the past two years have taught 10th and 11th grade religion class for Victory Academy.
